Martela Corporation and Cargotec Corporation have signed a cooperation agreement on furniture services, which covers three Nordic countries. Under the agreement Martela can offer furniture and their related services to the Cargotec Group in Finland, Sweden and Norway over the next three years. The Cargotec Group is made up of the Kalmar, Hiab and MacGregor business areas specialising in cargo and load handling.
"We are pleased to be able to offer our services to Cargotec. The cooperation agreement is an excellent indication of Cargotec’s trust in Martela as a developer of workplaces in the Nordic countries,” says Jarmo Laukka, Customer Support Director at Martela.
Under the agreement, Cargotec has the opportunity, but is under no obligation, to acquire from Martela furniture for office spaces and the related services and more extensive projects. If the company decides to do this, the daily orders of workplaces will be taken care of with the help of a recommended collection that has been agreed in advance.
Typical furnishing projects include furnishing locations in various countries or updating facilities to correspond to changing needs and new ways of working. Projects may include specification of spaces, furniture and materials, interior design, the delivery of new furniture, the inventory and reuse of old furniture, and the recycling of old surplus furniture either through Martela Outlet or as materials.
Martela may serve as the main partner in projects, making use of its excellent expertise in the entire lifecycle of workplace development and the furnishing of large facilities. The projects can be implemented by Martela’s designers and also a design office selected by Cargotec. Excellent cooperation between Martela and the design office will ensure optimal results.
