As quality in Martela means meeting customer requirements and expectations, and our key performance indicators focus on customer interface: delivery accuracy, customer feedback and customer satisfaction. Martela’s accredited Test laboratory performs continuous testing of the strength and quality of the furniture according to EN standards. This ensures that the furniture meets high quality and safety requirements. Continuous improvement is ensured by certified quality (ISO9001) and environmental management systems (ISO14001).


Our Group has a multi-site certification of quality and environmental management systems covering management, sales, marketing and customer-, consultative- and removals services for Martela Lifecycle solutions for offices and public premises. The certificate also includes sourcing, product development, testing, warehousing, delivery steering, production and remanufacturing of furniture for Martela Lifecycle solutions (Nummela Logistics Center), manufacturing of upholstered furniture subassemblies (Polish manufacturing plant) and the manufacture of laminate and melamine board components (Kitee's production plant).

Product testing at Martela
  We have our own accredited testing laboratory in Nummela, where we continuously assess the complience with safety requirements includedin product stability, long-term durability and ergonomics. With testing we ensure that our furniture meet high quality and safety requirements. These tests comply with EN standards and Martela's own quality guidelines, which are based on the ISO 9001 standard.     Our subcontractors provide material reports such as formaldehyde emission levels and fire safety for the products they supply .
